Since being founded in 1989, the illusive identity of Margiela has remained a mystery, until recently when a New York magazine revealed the head designer to be a gentleman named Matthieu Blazy. Although Margiela himself no longer works with the company he created, those with an eye for fashion have always been in awe of the potential identity behind the highly celebrated brand.

As speculation continues to buzz about the possible design team at Maison Martin Margiela, we take a look at a few of our faves from the most recent collection, all of which is readily available via Mr Porter.

#1. Exposed Seam Cotton Jersey Sweatshirt

Handcrafted in Berlin, these lightweight sunglasses will help to simulate a mysterious ‘barely there’ look. The minimalist frame with tinted lenses are bound to work well with a slicked back barnet and an all-black ensemble.

They say shoes say a lot about a man and in this case it’s true. Showcase your fashionista style with these pastel blue suede and dark blue leather contrasting slip-on kicks. With light padding for comfort, throw on with a pair of tailored trousers for those all nighters in London town. These sneakers are available in black and red, as well as a velvet version if you’re feeling brave!

#4. Printed Cotton Shirt

#5.  Slim-fit Dry Denim Jeans

The neutral grey tone ensures these jeans are super easy to wear but are best teamed with delicate options to heighten a soft silhouette.
